But it also smells like a celebration: White Christmas Lilies (the National Flower of Italy), the sweetness of empty Champagne glasses, cigarette smoke, Santal, and Musk. They wanted to recreate the vibe from a party in Venice we attended, with a room full of handsome Italians and glamorous old ladies who smelled like new hairspray and old money. With a bit of the muskiness of the handsome Italian waiters sweating a little bit after running around all night after the guests.
